How do I participate in the Q4 Sales Blast contests?

You must be an affiliate of Sierra Trading Post and meet the requirements in the category you are competing in. For all categories except the BEST NEW AFFILIATE you must reach at least $5000 in sales per month to be considered.

How can I increase my chances of winning?

You can nominate yourself for a contest. Sierra Trading Post will review affiliate websites for potential winners, but the only way to guarantee that we review your website is to nominate yourself. To nominate yourself, please send an email to jjohnson2@sierratradingpost.com with the subject heading of "Q4 Sales Blast ." You must provide the following information in your email:

a link to the website/webpage/s you are marketing us on
the contest you are nominating yourself/others for
any specific marketing techniques and/or creatives that you would like us to review for consideration in the contest
your name, shipping address, company name, website, email and title for a free subscription to Revenue Magazine.

Can I nominate other affiliate sites?

Yes, you can nominate your own website, as well as other affiliate websites to win the contest/s. Please be sure to follow the same nomination guidelines listed above when you email nominations to us. Please note that the quantity of nominations we receive for any given site does not improve chances of winning - it only guarantees inclusion in our list of sites to review.

Can I win more than one contest?

No. For the Q4 Sales Blast contests, if your statistics merit more than one prize, you will be awarded the prize that you have the greatest margin of success in, and the other prize that you are qualified for will go to the affiliate with the second-best statistics.

How do I determine my Conversion Ratio?

Divide your total number of orders by the total number of clicks through your site. This determines how many people are making a purchase after clicking through.

How can I improve my Conversion Ratio?

The best way to get a really strong CR is to make sure your traffic is very targeted. It will help you to know your market and who you are sending our way. If visitors know our brand and value proposition before clicking through, they may already have an idea what they want from our site. It may also help to try out our Product Showcase Creators or GoldenCan which can be found under affiliate tools on our affiliate info site.

When will my prize be delivered?

We will make every effort to deliver your prize as promptly as possible after the contest end date. The prize packs will come in the form of a gift certificate that we will ship immediately upon determining and verifying the winners. We anticipate having prizes distributed to the winners by the end of January.

Is the prize that I'm awarded final?

Unless we find reason to believe that cheating was involved in your attempt to win the contest/s, the awards we deliver are final and will not be revoked. You must remain in compliance with our affiliate terms and conditions and our keyword bidding policy in order to be an affiliate of Sierra Trading Post and participate in the contest.

Will you publish the contest winners?

We would like to publish the names, websites, quotes, and a brief description of each of the winners to show everyone why they best deserved the prizes. However, due to the competitive nature of the affiliate industry, publishing this information is not always acceptable. Screenshots of sites may be an option. We will work with the winners to decide what we can and cannot publish.
