Coupon System + Coupon!
|

We've developed an improved system for distributing
our coupons to you, and hope to see you utilize it.
Historically, we have provided you with a coupon code
that customers had to manually enter in our checkout.
This caused some traffic leaks for those of you who
marketed the coupons, because some people who were already
on our site and going through checkout would see the
"Key Code" box, then open a different browser,
search for our coupons, find one on one of your sites,
and instead of clicking through your site (which would
give you credit for the sale), they would simply copy
and paste the coupon code into the first browser that
they had open. So in scenarios like this, you weren't
being rewarded for a service that you provided. The
new system does not involve us giving out any coupon
codes - it enables you to place a coupon link on your
site/s, and in order for the customer to receive the
discount, they must click-through your link. This will
ensure that you get credit for the sale and the customer
gets the discount!
We
will keep three links updated for you with the latest
discount - one text, and two banners. If you are utilizing
the banner links, you'll never have to update your site
when a new coupon comes out. If you are using the text
coupon link, you will need to update the text copy
in the link everytime a new coupon is announced.
Use
these coupon links to help drive your sales!
- The
discount will not display to the customer until the
reach the last page of our checkout. We are working
to change this so that they will see the applied discount
at the shopping cart level.
- If
you are/were using the previous coupon links, you
can continue to use them, as they have been updated
with general Sierra Trading Post copy, but there is
no discount associated with them. You may wish to
change them out for the new links.

Text Link Search Functionality!
|
This new offering allows you to create a link to any
of our search results by simply entering the keyword
for your desired search results and and the text you
would like the link to read. Once you click on "Customize"
you have a link to the keyword search results on SierraTradingPost.com.
This new feature is located in the Search Box area
of our create links section. Please note you will
need to scroll to page two. Login
to try it now!

have launched two new HTML Search Boxes as another
link-type option. We previously offered a DRM searchbox,
but wanted to provide you with HTML search boxes as
well so that you can manipulate their design to fit
your own site if you wish to. The collection of search
boxes that we have available for you now provide several
options to best meet your site's look and feel. Enjoy!
