We've included three different website templates for you to choose from! Use one of them, or all of them if you like. Each one is pre-populated with affiliate-encoded links to our homepage, as well as some of our selected products. Feel free to use the existing links or replace them with new ones of your choice. The only thing that we ask is that at least one of Sierra Trading Post's logos is displayed in a prominent place on your web pages while you are using our template/s.

You'll notice that we've included affiliate links to other merchants in these templates as well, and we encourage you to use them as they are outstanding merchants to market for. If you are already an affiliate of these merchants, their links will work as soon as you insert your affiliate ID. If you are not currently an affiliate of these merchants, becoming one is quick and easy - please refer to the merchant links section of this document for information on joining their programs.

** Before following the instructions below, please make sure that you've extracted the entire contents of the .zip file into a folder. To do this, open the file you downloaded with WinZip, and then look for the "extract" button. This will ensure that the folder structure for the website stays intact.


Getting Started
Quick "Getting Started Guide"

If you're experienced at dealing with affiliate links, and you want to get this done quick, here are the basic steps:

1. Do a "find & replace" for [site.code] in each of the HTML files and insert your encrypted affiliate ID.
2. Upload all files to your webserver.

*If you aren't currently an affiliate of the other merchants in this template, apply to their program, and once you're accepted, their links in your template will work.
Detailed "Getting Started Guide"

Here are some steps to ensure proper functionality:

1. Open the folder of the template you wish to use.
2. Open index.html with any text or HTML editor.
3. Do a "find and replace" with the following parameters:
a. Search for [site.code]
b. Replace with your encrypted affiliate ID.
i. To get this, look at one of your existing Linkshare links, or create a new one, and look for something that looks like this in the code: http://click.linksynergy.com/fsbin/ stat?id=WE7wJezu2qQ&offerid=7097
c. The highlighted text above is what your encrypted affiliate ID will look like.
4. Save the file.
5. Repeat the above steps for the other page in the template file (either index_sp.html or sub_index.html).
6. Your files are now ready for upload to your webserver.
a. Upload both HTML files, as well as the images folder and flash files (for the flash template).
b. Note that most of the navigation links in the templates need to be reset to the page you want them to link to.
7. You can now edit the pages to include your own copy and designs on your site - get creative and have fun!
